The Big Day

Ceremony

October 12, 2025 • 4:00 PM EDT

Join us as we exchange vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony (weather permitting). Doors open at 3:00 PM with refreshments and a scenic wagon ride to the venue. All guests must arrive by 3:45 PM to be seated before the 4:00 PM ceremony begins.

The ceremony will last 30 minutes.

Reception

October 12, 2025 • 4:30 PM - 2:00 AM EDT

Immediately following the ceremony, we invite you to join us for cocktails, dinner, dancing, and celebration. The reception will be held at the same location.

Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM. Later in the evening, enjoy a cozy bonfire with s'mores starting at 9:30 PM.

Wedding Day Schedule

Doors Open

Guests arrive and enjoy a scenic 5-minute wagon ride to the venue. Refreshments will be available as you settle in before the ceremony begins.

All Guests Seated

3:45 PM EDT

Final call for guests to arrive and be seated. Please note that transportation from the parking area to the venue takes a few minutes, so plan accordingly.

Ceremony Begins

4:00 PM EDT

Join us as we exchange vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony surrounded by the natural beauty of the countryside.

Cocktail Hour

4:30 PM EDT

Enjoy cocktails and canapés while we take photos. Join in lawn games, visit with the adorable alpacas and other farm animals, and don't forget to play Guest Bingo!

Dinner Service

6:00 PM EDT

Sit down for a delicious meal and celebration with speeches from family and friends.

Late Night Snack & Bonfire

9:30 PM EDT

Coffee and tea service begins as we light the bonfire! Gather around for s'mores and cozy conversations. Don't forget to bring your own blanket for extra warmth!

Shuttle Service to Peterborough

10:30 PM EDT

Complimentary shuttle service will be available from the venue to Peterborough for guests who need transportation. Service runs until 1:30 AM.

End of Reception

2:00 AM EDT

The formal reception ends. Thank you for celebrating this magical day with us!

Set on a 100-acre rolling family farm in Keene, Ontario, Farmhill Weddings is a chic, non-traditional venue where post-and-beam interiors, alpacas in the pasture and panoramic countryside views fuse rustic charm with modern style, accommodating up to 200 guests in its timber-frame barn.

Driving Directions

Take Hwy 401 East to Hwy 115. Follow Hwy 115 to the end and merge right onto Hwy 7. Take Hwy 7 east to Drummond Line. Turn right (south) on Drummond line, travel three kilometers to Dillon Rd. Turn Left on Dillon, Farmhill is your first driveway on the right.

Formal Attire

We kindly request that guests dress in formal attire for our special day.

Please note it is a farm and the ceremony location is on grass, so block heels would be better. Additionally, we'll have a cozy bonfire with s'mores starting at 9:30 PM, so please bring your own blanket for extra warmth! Consider bringing a second outfit or warm layers - it might get cold in the Fall and you'll want to be comfortable by the fire.

For guests traveling from out of town, we recommend staying at one of these convenient hotels in Peterborough. While we weren't able to secure group discounts, both options offer comfortable accommodations and are well-located for your visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. The rest of the event will be indoors. There'll be bonfire outside for the people that want to hangout outside too.

Are children welcome?

We would love to, but not during this event.

What time should I arrive?

Doors open at 3pm with lawn games and drinks while guests arrive. Please make sure to arrive before 4pm when the ceremony begins.

What should I wear?

The dress code is formal. Please note it is a farm and the ceremony location is on grass, so block heels would be better. Additionally, since we'll have an outdoor fire pit later in the evening, feel free to bring a cozy blanket and consider bringing a second outfit to avoid the smoke - it might get cold in the Fall and you'll want to be comfortable by the fire.
